BOARD RULES
Before you view the Board Rules, please understand the following:
Currently this board’s membership is by invitation or referral only. Unless you received an invitation email by the board administrator to join this board, DO NOT REGISTER AN ACCOUNT –IT WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED AND WILL ONLY BE DELETED.
Members must be in agreement and in support of the
Mission StatementLastly, if you DO NOT believe that William H. Bonney, aka Billy the Kid, was killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett on July 14, 1881 in Fort Sumner, you might as well stop where you are. This board is not for you.
Now for the Board Rules:
1) This is a personable board, so members are required to use their real name as a username and be honest about the information posted on their profile. Don’t hide behind a phony name, alias, or fake personality. We want to know exactly who you are and claim to be. You can input your username as your full name (first, last) or first name then with the first letter of your last name, you can also use the option of an underscore (ex: John Smith, John_Smith, or John S, John_S). The board is NOT caps sensitive regarding usernames, so it doesn’t matter if you type john smith or John Smith or JOHN SMITH.
2) This isn’t a rule, but more of a warning. For your own security, I encourage you to choose a strong password which will be difficult to hack. Refrain from using actually words or names, use no less than 8 characters, use upper and lower case caps (this board is cap sensitive for passwords), numbers, or punctuation symbols (? ! % $). Make it as tricky as possible for a hacker to break into your account.
3) Posts must be typed properly. No message in all UPPER caps or all lower caps. Type full words and sentences –no texting or IM slang.
4) Keep subject matter together. Do not start a thread on a topic already being discussed in another thread.
5) Do not change the subject of a discussion. This happens a lot and I can’t stress it enough. If the topic is about John Tunstall, keep it about John Tunstall, don’t start talking about Wyatt Earp’s gun or the price of eggs in China.
6) Post topics in the appropriate category forum. If you’re posting about Billy the Kid, it goes in the William H. Bonney forum, if you’re posting about Annie Oakley it goes in the Wild West Show forum.
7) No profanity or vulgar language.
8) Verbal attacks on a member such as false and/or defamatory remarks, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, and invasion of privacy will not be tolerated.
9) Of course debates are allowed, but do so in an intelligent, fair, respectful, and articulate matter. No arguing, personal attacks, smartaleck remarks, insulting, patronizing, and name calling. Please be mindful how you converse with each other. Respect and be sensitive to the other's opinion. If a debate gets heated, I'll pull the plug and the participants will get a warning.
10) Flaming and trolling is
absolutely not tolerated here and such person will quickly be banned. What is flaming/trolling? It’s someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussions.
11) Absolutely no pornography is allowed in any shape or form -as in a discussion, images, site links, or avatar icons.
12) If a member has offended you or you feel the rules were violated, do not take matters in your own hands, but bring it to the administrator’s attention by email or PM. Two wrongs don’t make a right and you could get banned as well.
Thank you for abiding by these rules
