No this date in 1881, 5 July, Billy had one week and two days to live and after 128 years, we still don't know how it happened except that Pat Garrett plugged him.

Your right Russ,I would love to know where he was hiding out and what he was doing way back then.So much info on his life will never be exposed which I guess is what keeps the "myth and his legend" so alive today.

Thanks for this reminder Russ! There are several major BTK dates this month, including the five-day battle in Lincoln and Billy's death at Fort Sumner. I haven't really spent any time on BTK in recent months and these dates completely slipped my mind.
